5k and 1 Mile Walk

The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

5k will be on paved surfaces throughout the Oliver community. The terrain is flat and should host some fast times. Strollers, pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k.
Awards:
5k
Top 3 overall males and females, as well as in each age group as follows:
19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+
Amenities:
T-shirts to all participants (sizes not guaranteed after March 31). Water and HEED sports drink will be available at the halfway point of the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns.
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up on Friday, April 27th from 5 PM – 7 PM at a location TBD. Packets will also be available beginning at 6:30 AM on race day.
Due to time constraints on race day, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE participants to pick up packets before the race.

After successfully timing over 7,000 muddy zombie-crazed finishers at the Run For Your Lives debut in Baltimore, Elite Race Management has been contracted to provide timing and finish line services for all Run For Your Lives events in 2012. The popular race series, which garnered nationwide attention this past fall, has expanded to locations across the country including San Diego, Austin, Seattle, and Boston.
Runners are given a set of flag football style flags and must navigate a series of obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies. At the end of this adventure race you get to celebrate survival (or zombie transformation if all of your flags have been pulled) with live entertainment and music, local celebrities, vendors, food, and of course, beer!
