Angel Park – a new all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall, MD has a very real and personal meaning to members of our community. The name was purposely chosen to represent a vision of an ideal setting for happiness and reflection.
Angel Park began from an idea that came to Kelli and Andy Szczybor after the loss of their baby boy, Ryan. From a sad origin, a bright and life affirming idea emerged – to build a place for laughter, activity and fun, for families and friends throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.
Angel Park will incorporate the designs and ideas of local children and artists. It will be built and supported by the community and provide a unique destination to be enjoyed by all families for years to come. It will be more than a memorial park; it will be a special place for children, families and friends. Funds raised from this event will go directly to the charity of Angel Park to help with the build of the playground!

Entry Fees:
5k:
$25 for registrants ages 11 and up until August 8th, $30 on race day
$20 for registrants ages 10 and under until August 8th, $25 on race day
1 Mile Walk:
$10 for all ages until August 8th, $15 on race day
The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

Course:
The 5K run will be an out-and-back course starting and finishing in Perry Hall Park. Runners will exit the park and turn onto Cross Road, heading toward Honeygo Boulevard. Once on Honeygo Boulevard, runners will head south past Joppa Road to the turnaround point located near Honeygo Run regional Park. After turning around at this point, runners will backtrack and head back the same way they came to end up at the finish inside Perry Hall Park.
The 1 Mile Walk will consist of an out-and-back course on paved surfaces.
Awards:
- Top 3 overall male and female runners
- Top male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
Amenities:
Race shirts will be guaranteed to all 5k and 1 mile participants who register by July 31 (sizes and availability cannot be guaranteed after the 31st). Water stations out on the course and at the finish, as well as course marshals guiding you on the route.
Packet Pickup:
Packets will be available for pick up on Saturday, August 8 from 12-4 PM at the Weis Supermarket Cafe. Packets will also be available on race day (Sunday, August 9) beginning at 7 AM.
