Elite Race Management is proud to be the official timer of the 5th Annual Survivor Run. Phil Anderson began the Survivor Run in 2008 to raise stroke awareness, and this year’s race will benefit the Stroke Network and Aphasia awareness.

Important Message Regarding 4th Annual Fallston Duathlon

Thank you very much for your interest in the 2012 Fallston Duathlon and supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We were recently notified that local law enforcement in Harford County, MD would be unable to support the bike portion of the race due to a shortage in staff. Police participation was crucial to ensure safe road closures, and without their support, we would not be able to obtain approval from Harford County or the State Highway Administration to use the roads. While we were upset to hear this news, we attempted to keep the race alive by relocating it to Aberdeen Proving Ground. Sadly, we just got the news that the proving ground would not be able to support this year’s race either.

As with every event we host, we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable racing experience for all participants. Rather than continue to search for a suitable venue in the next month and throw together a race, we’ve decided to cancel this year’s race and focus our efforts on building a great race in 2013. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and hope that you’ll join us at one of our other events this year. 5k Run and 2k Walk

Location: Annie’s Playground at Edgeley Grove Park in Fallston, MD
Time: 5k Run @ 8:00 AM, 2k Walk @ 9:00 AM

The 4th annual AMES United Methodist Church 5k Run and 2k Walk is “racing to feed the hungry daily.” Proceeds will benefit the Harford Food Bank, and race organizers ask that each runner/walker bring at least 1 canned good to donate.

Course Information:

5k will start and end at Annie’s Playground on the Ma & Pa trail. The terrain is rolling and includes paved, gravel, and wood (on bridges) surfaces. Strollers, pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k.

Awards:

Top 3 overall males and females will receive CASH prizes. Other awards include:

1st Male & Female Masters (Age 40-49)

1st Male & Female Grand Masters (Age 50-59)

1st Male & Female Sage Masters (Age 60-69)

1st Male & Female Eagle Masters (Age 70+)

Finishers medals for participants 19 & Under

Top 3 Co-ed teams

2k Walk

Highest number of Corporate/Organization/Church Challenge Finishers

Amenities:

Dri-fit t-shirts to all participants (womens cut also available; sizes not guaranteed after April 15). Water will be available at the halfway point of the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. Post-race refreshments and random prizes will also be available.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pick up on Friday, May 11th at Charm City Run in Bel Air from 4-7 PM, and also on race day from 7 AM – 7:45 AM at Annie’s Playground.

5k will start and end at Bel Air High School. The terrain is rolling on paved surfaces. Strollers, pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k.

Top 3 overall males and females

Top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Amenities:

Chip timed, t-shirts to all participants (sizes not guaranteed after March 26). Water will be available at the halfway point of the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. Post-race refreshments will also be available.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pick up on race day from 7 AM – 7:45 AM at the start/finish line. Additional packet pickups may become available, so please check back for more information.

Kelly’s Dream 5k

Time: 5k @ 10:00 AM, 1 Mile Walk @ 10:05 AM

Proceeds will benefit Kelly’s Dream for cancer support, a non-profit organization created by a cancer survivor to help support the fight against cancer.

Course Information:

5k Run Course

5k will begin at the Gunpowder Lodge and head out on the trails of Gunpowder State Park. Runners will encounter rocks, tree roots, and other natural trail features before returning to the Gunpowder Lodge. The terrain is not flat or smooth, and pets, strollers, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course.

1 Mile Walk Course

The 1 mile walk will start at the Gunpowder Lodge but divert from the 5k course and head towards flat, smooth dirt trails in Gunpowder State Park.

Awards:

Top 3 overall males and females, as well as in each age group as follows:

19 & Under, 20-39, and 40+

Amenities:

T-shirts to all participants (sizes not guaranteed after February 24). Water and sports drink will be available at the halfway point of the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. After the race, Kelly’s Dream and The Gunpowder Lodge will host a cornhole tournament with live music from Barley Juice, face painting, food and drink specials, a raffle, and other fun activities.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pick up on Friday, March 9th at the Gunpowder Lodge (Times TBD). Packets will also be available beginning at 8:30 AM on race day.

Due to time constraints on race day, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE participants to pick up packets before the race.

Elite Race Management is proud to be the official timer of the 2012 Run For Your Lives Race Series! Runners will navigate a series of 12 obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies. At the end of this adventure race, you get to celebrate survival (or zombie transformation) with live entertainment and music, local celebrities, vendors, food, and of course, beer!
