5k Run and 1k Walk

The Perry Hall HS PTSA Shamrock’n 5k Walk Run & Roll will be a fun event that will promote health and wellness to the Perry Hall High School community to benefit all that participate. Different school organizations will be given the opportunity to create teams where the individual race participant is able to collect pledge donations to benefit that organization. The registration proceeds will be used by the PHHS PTSA for the educational enrichment of the students and faculty of PHHS to include student planner, motivation speakers, student recognition, scholarship, an After Prom Party, teacher grants and staff appreciation. Teams – Perry Hall High School clubs and organizations can sign up to collect pledges and raise funds for their organization through the 5k. For more information on registering your club, please contact 5k@phhsptsa.org.

Online registration closes on March 12. The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable. The event complies with Baltimore County Public Schools closure policies, and must be cancelled if BCPS cancels school activities on the day of the race due to weather. Course Information:
5k
The course begins on the side of Perry Hall High School and heads east on Ebenezer Road before making a left turn onto Honeygo Boulevard. Runners will travel north on Honeygo Boulevard until they reach the turnaround point just prior to Joppa Road. After turning around, participants retrace their steps back to Perry Hall High School where they’ll finish back where the race started on the side of the school. The course is entirely on paved surfaces, and police will close lanes on Ebenezer Road and Honeygo Boulevard to allow participants to run in the road. Pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices (with the exception of jogging strollers and wheelchairs) are not allowed on the course.
1k
The 1k walk will take place on the Perry Hall High School track. Walkers will walk from the 5k start line to the track, complete two laps, and head back to the start line. Walkers can walk additional laps if desired.

Top overall male and female, as well as in each age group as follows: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
The top runner for each team will also receive a special award!
Amenities:
Short-sleeve cotton blend t-shirts to all registrants who register by March 6th (sizes and availability not guaranteed to those registering after the 6th). Water will be available on the course and at the finish line, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. As an extra challenge, our very own leprechaun will be present to run the race and provide a little motivation – beat the leprechaun to the finish and you’ll receive a special prize!
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up on Saturday, March 15th at Perry Hall High School beginning at 7:30 AM.
