Memorial Day is the occasion to celebrate and commemorate America’s warriors. The Baltimore City Police Department Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3 and the Baltimore City Fire Department Fire Fighters IAFF Local 734 together with Boston Street Running will be sponsoring the second annual Special Operations Memorial Day 5K Run to honor our warriors and provide direct financial support to the surviving families of one of America’s most elite fighting forces; the US Navy SEALs. All proceeds from registration/entry fees to this event will be donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation (http://www.navysealfoundation.org).

The 5K run will be a fast out-and-back starting and finishing at Boston Street Running, 2700 block of Boston Street. The race will head East along Boston Street to S. Clinton Street, turn right and head South along S. Clinton Street to the turn-a-round point. The race course will offer a unique vantage point from which to experience Baltimore City and it’s maritime and industrial sector as the course travels through the Canton Port District with scenic views of Ft. McHenry, the John Brown, the City skyline and the harbor.

Top male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Amenities:

The first 800 registered participants will receive a custom designed Under Armour Tactical Charged Cotton T-Shirt, from the UA Military collection, with the race logo and sponsors. Water and nutrition stations out on the course, as well as course marshals. All participants will also be eligible to win running shoes, accessories and amenities from: Newton, Pearl Izumi, Skora, Timex, Balega, 2XU, Under Armour, Nathan, Fuelbelt, Camelbak, The Maryland Athletic Club, Merritt Athletic Clubs, Canton Health & Fitness, Bo Brooks and more!
